The week leading to 2010!!
Posted by Chen Ee at 9:40 AM | Wednesday, January 13, 2010 I guess.. I’m more like a historian than a blogger.. I seem to blog about things that happen at least 1 week ago. This is because I usually will draft before posting my blog, that’s why.. Flashback 2 weeks ago.. 31 Dec 2009 It was a really fulfilling experience that I have ever had in my life. I did not regret going to Taipei 101 to watch the countdown performance with Racheline and Josh. If you’re there, you’ll truly understand what I mean. Initially we were afraid that we won’t be able to watch as we were told many times that there’ll be millions of people and even has a possibility of a massive congestion after the countdown. Hence, we’ve had a thorough preparation before the day. The most memorable moment is the performance by my favourite artists. They’re really great singers who can sing live very well even though they caught a cold. Just to name a few, Rainie Yang, Xiaoyu, Yoga, Ding Dang, SHE & of course Mayday!! I guess all these songs by them will leave good memories of my time in Taiwan. Last but not least, the fantastic fireworks display on Taipei 101. All in all, it will never be a memorable countdown if I wasn’t with my best buddies like Racheline and Josh. Taipei 101 & the stage Haha.. I just recall our love for the memorial hall (guo fu ji nian guan) as we spent our night outside the memorial hall. It was darn cold that day outside the memorial hall. We have chosen that place to rest before getting onto the coach to Taichung. It was freaking cold till Racheline and I started to jump to keep ourselves warm. Then we went to the bus station to meet Wanching to head down to our next destination-Taichung. Sleeping in the coach was so comfortable to the extent that 4 of us felt that the distance was so short. Anyway, the coach is really comfortable as it has very spacious seat and a mini tv at every seat with the latest albums and movies. The bus fare is rather cheap, around NT380 (approx. SGD 17). We have been taking the bus for the trip from Taipei-Taichung-Kaoshiung-Taipei. The coach When we reached Taichung, the kind ‘王老先生’ has helped us to find accommodation. Initially, we thought of staying in his house, but we found that he was hinting us to stay in the hotel instead. Luckily the price is quite reasonable, not that ‘painful’. Haha.. And I remember one funny thing that ‘王老先生’ thought us, the ‘free’ breakfast, which is to 試吃 in one of the bakery. To cut the story short for our Taichung visit, we’ve spent our time in the Science Centre and 逢甲夜市 (one of the largest night market in Taiwan). @ Taichung Garden @ Fengjia Night Market MRT interchange station at Kaoshiung Love River Fisherman's Wharf Labels: chen ee |
